We are immensely proud to launch Absolute Children's Opera! Featuring selected performances, programmes and workshops specifically designed for our younger audiences and aspiring performers!

We are the resident company at Ursuline Primary School in Blundellsands, where we have a weekly after school club for students of Y3 and above and provide a workshop and performance series for y4 students during their summer term. Children learn operatic, classical, crossover and musical theatre repertoire in addition to modern song, theatre games, staging and performance techniques. There is also a focus on solo performance and microphone techique as well as numerous performance opportunities within school and the wider community. No previous singing experience is required, just an appetite to learn and have fun!

Absolute Children's Opera also have it's own touring company, enabling us to reach as many schools as possible and provide workshops and performances covering a range of topics and activities. We have performed in a range of settings, including school halls, festivals, museums and even car parks! In addition to traditional theatre settings.
Our Children's Opera seeks to inclusively engage and inspire young minds through music, movement, creativity and imagination. Contact us for more information on bringing the magic of the theatre to your school.

Testimonial
"Absolute children's Opera wrote and produced an Olympic Closing Ceremony to mark the end of our sports day. They taught our Y4 children to sing in German and Italian, song and dance from India and Brazil, the can can and the Haka. everything was performed to the highest standard. It was truly an International occasion which finished with the hoisting of the Olympic Rings and the lighting of the Olympic flame! Our school field was transformed in to the Rio Olympic stadium for the day and included a march past of the whole school acting as 14 nations watched by hundreds of excited parents and relatives. It was one of the most memorable occasions to ever happen at our school. The children can not wait for them to return." Mark McQueen Head Teacher, Ursuline Primary School
